What the audience expects from us? That’s simple, a kinetic hit to their souls, resonating with pure unhinged energy. You want a rock show? You want excitement and spectacle? Here you have it. Come to our show and you will discover the meaning of life itself.
The Scientific Centre for Uncommon Manifolds (S.C.U.M) focuses on researching uncommon manifolds to develop a relativistic model of Earth and to discover its absolute velocity and position in the universe. During their research, they encountered a tachyon cascade, an anomaly thought to be triggered by the release of tachyons. This issue was resolved when a mysterious individual, Orpheus, appeared and neutralized the cascade using a unique six-stringed guitar. Orpheus claimed responsibility for the anomaly before fleeing. This event caused researchers to recall an alternate timeline where musical development had continued unabated, unlike in our current world. The reemergence of these memories coincided with the dissipation of the tachyon cascade, suggesting a direct connection between the altered music history and the anomaly.
S.C.U.M then created an investigative division led by Eric, formerly an outsourced contractor. This team, composed of members from engineering, applied mathematics, and harmonics, uses instruments from the alternate timeline to address similar anomalies, aiming to maintain the continuity of our timeline and prevent potential paradoxes. This division, humorously named “Matcha Overkill” after an unrelated incident, seeks to understand how Orpheus caused the tachyon cascade and aims to preserve our musical heritage to protect the future.
